Francis Charles “Mr. Zero ”Brimsek is an American professional ice hockey goalkeeper who has played ten seasons in the Boston National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins and the Chicago Black Hawks. He won the Calder Memorial Trophy as a rookie and Vezina Trophy twice, and he's been on the NHL All-Star Team eight times. He is also a member of two Stanley Cup championships. By the time of his retirement in 1950, he held the record for most wins and losses by an American goaltender; these records are respectively 54 and 61 years old. In 1966, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, being the first American goaltender introduced; and in 1973, he was in the inaugural class of the American Hockey Hall of Fame. In 1998, Brimsek was ranked 67th in the top 100 hockey players list by The Hockey News, America's top scorer.
