Andrew John Bower Mitchell
Andrew John Bower Mitchell is a British politician who has served as an MP for Sutton Coldfield since 2001. As a member of the Conservative Party he is the son of Sir David Mitchell, who served as a member of the Conservative Party Congress for 33 years. Mitchell was also a member of Gedling's Congress from 1987 to 1997. Mitchell was Foreign Minister for International Development from 2010 to 2012, then briefly Chief of the Secretariat. Government in the House of Representatives until he resigns after an alleged change with a policeman; called "Plebgate". Mitchell was elected president of the Cambridge Union in 1978. Prior to entering university, he served for several months as a United Nations peacekeeper in Cyprus. He has extensive government experience in developing countries and is the founder of Project Umubano, a Conservative Party social action project in Rwanda and Sierra Leone in Central and West Africa, which started in 2007.
