Marguerite Bourgeoys
Marguerite Bourgeoys, C.N.D., era una monaca francese e fondatrice della Congregazione di Notre Dame di Montreal nella colonia della Nuova Francia, ora parte del Québec, in Canada. Nata a Troyes, si recò a Fort Ville-Marie nel 1653, dove sviluppò il convento e studiò le ragazze, i poveri e i bambini delle Prime Nazioni fino a poco prima della sua morte all'inizio del 1700.
