Kenneth Mattias Öhlund is a former professional Swedish ice hockey defender who played at the National Hockey League for Vancouver Canucks and Tampa Bay Lightning. Öhlund played two seasons in the Swedish Allsvenskan, the second highest hockey tournament in Sweden, with the Piteå bronze medalist, before being selected by Canucks for 13th overall place in the 1994 NHL Draft. He then joined Luleå HF. of EliteSerian, Sweden's highest league, won the Le Mat Cup as tournament champion in 1996. He started his NHL career with Vancouver in 1997-1998, starting from an 11-year term. with the club where he became Canucks' all-time leader in points for a defender. Öhlund will play the last two seasons of his professional career with the Tampa Bay Lightning before retiring in 2011. His third major pre-season NHL eye injury was the first in a long streak. during his 13-year NHL career.
