Gerald Allen McClellan is a retired American professional boxer, competed from 1988 to 1995. He is a two-time world midsize champion, holding the WBO belt from 1991 to 1992 and honors. WBC branding from 1993 to 1995. McClellan was forced to retire from boxing after suffering a serious brain injury in his last game in 1995, losing to the super-medium champion WBC Nigel Benn . Known for his formidable fighting power and one of the highest 1st round KO rates in boxing history, McClellan was dubbed the `` miniature Mike Tyson '' by his promoter. Don King Magazine ranked McClellan 27th in its list of "100 Greatest Fists of All Time". In 2007, McClellan was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame in California, not to be confused with the more widely recognized International Boxing Fame Hall in Canastota.
