Last night while gazing into my crystal ball a message popped up from Shy Guy. He said to tell everyone here to go fuck themselves, including me.

He really didn't like people talking about him in the message from Cinderella thread. He actually wanted me to start a thread for people to express their feelings on what they think made him go over the edge, and become someone different from the Shy we once knew.

He just wants to keep everyone's opinions and views of his departure in one place. So as a friend I have to honor his request. I'll be back, I have another message coming in

 

I don’t think I’m going to say what I think caused him to leave or change how he conducted himself here. If he wanted that made public I think he would have done it himself.

 

I generally assume that most people here that know even a little bit about me want me to fuck off, so am okay with that lol! I do know he has some strong opinions that I respect him for, even if I don't agree with them...keep on keeping on!

 

I find it hard to believe that the OP's account is true... at all.

Was wondering what to say, felt I had to say something somewhere, individual PM's or a drama queen thread, I was an Attention Whore, never a Drama Queen...
decided to go all out with a thread that would, although necessary for its purpose, make me recognizable to anyone who knew me, I take great risk here.
Thanks to my good friend Jack for giving me a venue. Before friends continue to accuse friends, figured I'd might as well post now,
I've been writing and editing this for the past few weeks, was more than I wanted to say, felt it needed to be said, as is.


If a tree falls online, does reality hear it?

So I guess I should say something,
This isnt one of those drama queen threads looking for final recognition in a grand exit, just a message to all those who interacted with and knew me, I've been here for a while and its only right I at least offer a few words for my,... lack of continued presence, so people wont think I walked of the edge of the planet.

I started posting three years ago when my wife passed, I needed to, as I said, "escape reality", long story short, year later my brother died, year later dad died, most recently year later this past April mom past, I've only recently interred my wife's ashes and fully planed my own funeral so my kids wont have to. Aside from retiring and relocating away from all that I knew, all I did was watch and plan a progression of unexpected funerals, settle final business and throw away a lifetime of their belongings. I retired, but my occupation became death and its details.

All of that and more has a way of getting to some people, particularly me, makes ya look at the world differently, somethings must be dealt with, the list of things to put off because you cant or dont want to deal with or dont have to seems to grow more easily and your comfort zone shrinks to type written words to people you'll never really now.

It was easier to be Shy Guy than to exist in reality, I was spending way too much time here and not doing what I needed to in life, everything got put off, I did stuff but the forum was in my head constantly even when I wasn't on the forum, I was in the forum, everything I was, became a reply to a forum post, what I ate, did, people I met, my thinking, everything I did was shaped around the the forum. It was making me something I'm not, It was changing me, I was addicted and loosing myself. A lot of times I would literally spend most of a day on the forum. It became exhausting trying to keep up on all the threads, not only because I wanted to but had to, if I didnt, felt like I was ignoring or walking out on a conversation, in a strange scene, it felt rude if I didnt reply.

Friends would ask what I did all day, couldnt say I was posting on a porn forum most of the time, had to lie, doing this or that, felt like a drunk hiding a bottle, they laugh at me being on facebook, the way friends would, my friends/world doesnt do social media, not even my kids are on FB.
Admittingly, I have somewhat of an addictive personality, I needed to reply to every alert and post of interest, I couldnt get off the forum for having to get my two cents in everywhere, fun while it lasted, had some good laughs, but it was in the way of most everything.

I buried everybody in the real world, the forum cant be my only world.
After April, nothing was funny anywhere and I couldnt see jokes in anything anymore, The form didn't seem fun, it became an obligation, effort, work, it wasn't relaxing, just another thing on the list of things to do, like cut the grass, wach the dishes or go shoping, nothing else was getting done. I realized that I was here for 3 years living my whole life and doing nothing but post on the forum.

At this point, I cant exist in both worlds, my birth name has to prevail, not my User name.
I fear if I return in a small way, the habit will take over again, an alcoholic cant have one drink, I dont think I can post without becoming overly involved again, something I cant allow.

To those who have been especially friendly to me,...thanks for being there from the beginning, seriously.

To those I've, debated with, alls fair in love and war,...dont agree with ya but I'll defend with my life your right to say it....not really... your on your own!

To those who have been part of my Xnxx universe, you all rounded out the corners of my square and made it a circle....what ever that means.

You all could say what you want here or nothing at all, its not my intention to engage in discussion here or illicit sympathy for a possible return, this is only offered as a "WTF happened to SG", so as not to appear I was flat leaving. To be honest, obviously I'll be checking for replies(who wouldnt be)...say what you will.

Never messaged you SG, but i always listened to what you had to say, sometimes funny, your soul opinion, voice was loud and proud here, and most of all always entertaining.. Very Sorry for your losses. Best of luck to you. Finding yourself will be the best treasure of all

 

Yep, I enjoyed your posts ShyGuy. I've been hanging here a lot too, but it's due to covid and there's not much else to do.
