True, I should have emphasized my previous post as meant to be pure sarcasm. I've been having a hell-filled afternoon, but it can only get better from here.

Ejls, I cannot imagine the gripes you have had dumped on you, and the other moderators as well, over the foul-up with the site update lately.

General question - when the reading phase begins (hopefully on schedule), and since the entries are anonymous, will the writers be able to post responses to the commentary via CAW SOP as in past CAW's? Or should I begin to practice my telepathic suggestion abilities?

 

Yes

Although I would be interested in seeing how your telepathic abilities would do with grammar, spelling, etc. We will also be forwarding your responses to any comments made through the CAW SOP account as has been done in the past.

 

Great news. The biggest problem writers have with anonymity is the inability to interact with readers and to answer comments. When ejls volunteered to do this through CAW SOP in CAW #16, it seemed to work, and there weren't all THAT many comments she had to deal with.

If we can believe the scuttlebutt, we're going to have a lot of entries this time, so there may be a good number of comments. With two of you sharing Host duties, hopefully this won't be too cumbersome.

 

The challenge shall go on......

Since the update of the site has caused a few challenges of its own; we are going to move back the due date.


In the coming days, we will be posting a new due date as well as an email address where everyone can submit their stories.

I am confident that we will get some great stories to read. Once we know the number of entries, we will post what the reading period will be.

I don't know why you need to move back the due date. We have another couple of weeks, unless I'm missing something. If we were having troubles closer to May 3, then it might be necessary, but troubles with the forums shouldn't interfere with those of us who are still writing our stories, and it shouldn't make a difference to anyone who's finished.

Not that I'm complaining. It doesn't bother me if you move the date back, except it means a couple more days wait before I get to start reading the CAW entries.

 

Perhaps we could keep the same beginning submission date, but extend the deadline and extend the reading and voting phases a little.

 

If I'm the only one affected by the goings on here and everyone else is cool, please don't change the date. I'll try to get something together.

 

Keep the date if at all possible, also for CAW SOP: PM sent.

 

Since CAW SOP will be posting our stories, any problems will be theirs to deal with. If the CAW SOP account works properly, and if we can e-mail our stuff to them, it should all be fine.



Unless, of course, we have further "improvements". (insert disabled "rolleyes" smiley here, followed by the red face with smoke boiling from its ears)

 

A few people have communicated that some extra time would be appreciated, as well as there are some who are eager to get their stories in. So this is what we are going to do. We will keep the original due date, but extend the period for when we will be accepting your entry(s).

So it will look like this:

Please submit your story(s) between May 3, 2014 - May 10, 2014.



The email account where you can submit your stories will be announced closer to the due date. If you have any problems/ conflicts with these dates and you will need to submit your story early; send us a PM and we will discuss your situation.

One question. Have you attempted a trial post of a manuscript? I had trouble when I co-hosted with Pixy, and it wouldn't surprise me if things are worse now. It may be a good idea to test-post a couple things, documents you yourselves write, just to make sure things work.
